E-Sign Consent Policy
This E-Sign Consent Policy explains how TNNotary.online uses electronic records and signatures in accordance with the U.S. Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce (E-SIGN) Act and Tennessee’s laws governing Remote Online Notarization (RON).
1. Consent to Use Electronic Records and Signatures
By using our website and scheduling a remote notarization session, you agree to:
- Receive disclosures, communications, records, and agreements electronically
- Use an electronic signature in place of a handwritten signature
- Conduct transactions and sign documents through a secure RON platform
2. Hardware and Software Requirements
To access and retain electronic records, you must have:
- A device with internet access
- A valid email address
- A supported web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge)
- Access to PDF viewing software (e.g., Adobe Acrobat Reader)
- A webcam and microphone for identity verification
3. Withdrawing Consent
You may withdraw your consent to receive or sign documents electronically at any time by notifying us through our Contact page. If you withdraw consent:
- We may be unable to proceed with your remote notarization
- You may be required to complete the notarization in person
4. Paper Copies
You may request a paper copy of your notarized document after the session. Email us with your request and mailing address. A small processing fee may apply for printed copies.
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as needed. You will be notified of material changes prior to your next notarization session.
